What is Potato No Sprout DP and what is it used for?

Potato No Sprout DP is a sprout inhibitor dust containing 25g/kg chlorpropham, specifically designed for dusting stored potatoes to prevent sprouting and maintain quality during storage.
  • Timing: Only treat potatoes that are clean, dry, and well matured. For best results, dust early after digging.
  • Rate:
    • 1.5kg per tonne of potatoes
    • OR 100g per 50kg bag
  • Application method: Dust evenly using a dust blower or dusting bag.
  • Critical notes:
    • Do not treat wet, damaged, or rotting potatoes.
    • Do not treat after sprouting has developed.
    • Do not treat, store, or handle with seed potatoes or containers that held treated potatoes.
    • Potatoes should be handled gently to avoid re-activation of sprouting.
No. Do not treat seed potatoes with Potato No Sprout DP, and do not store treated potatoes near seed potatoes. Do not use bags or bins that have contained treated potatoes to store seed.
  • Only use according to the directions for use table on the label.
  • Do not use for any purpose, or in any manner, contrary to this label unless authorized under appropriate legislation.
  • Do not allow entry into treated areas for 48 hours after treatment.
  • If entry is necessary, wear all protective clothing and a respirator.
  • Will irritate eyes and skin—avoid contact with eyes and skin.
  • Do not inhale dust.
  • Wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist, elbow-length PVC gloves, goggles, and a disposable dust mask.
  • Wash hands after use, and wash gloves, goggles, and contaminated clothing after each day's use.
  • If product gets in eyes, wash immediately with water.

  • Dangerous to fish. Do not contaminate streams, rivers, or waterways with this product or used containers.
  • Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site.
  • Store in the closed, original container in a dry, cool, well-ventilated, locked room away from children, animals, food, seed, and fertilizers.
  • Do not store in direct sunlight.
  • Shake empty bag into the spray tank.
  • Puncture or shred and bury empty containers in a local authority landfill. If no landfill is available, bury containers below 500mm in a specifically marked pit, away from waterways and roots.
  • Empty containers and leftover product should not be burnt.
Potato No Sprout DP is suspected of causing cancer and may cause cancer by inhalation. Always follow all safety directions on the label and wear recommended personal protective equipment.
