Application Guide

Situation		Rate
In Wax	Anti-foam K will improve fruit finish and shine. Fruit will flow more smoothly over grading and packing lines as tackiness is reduced and drying enhanced. Where high rates of wax are required for extra shine, foaming / frothing of wax can occur and will be eliminated by the addition of Anti-foam K.	Citrus Wax 5ml / 1L Apple Wax 3ml / 1L
In Water	Add Anti-foam K at the suggested rate first. If insufficient, continue adding slowly until foaming stops. Allow 1-2 minutes for Anti-foam K to activate before adding more.	15ml / 100L – 25ml / 100L

Antifoam K is a food grade 30% active silicone emulsion formulated to reduce and eliminate foaming in both aqueous (water-based) and non-aqueous (wax-based) applications. It is used in packhouse operations to control foaming in water and to enhance the performance of fruit waxes, including citrus and apple wax.

What is the active constituent in Antifoam K?

Antifoam K contains 305 Silicon Emulsion (FG) as its active constituent, present at 30% active silicone in a water-based emulsion formulation.

What personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when handling Antifoam K?

When handling Antifoam K, wear:

Rubber gloves
Cotton overalls
Goggles or a face shield

Wash hands with soap and water after use. Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling this product. After each day's use, wash gloves, clothing, and goggles or face shield.

What should I do if Antifoam K contacts my eyes or if poisoning occurs?

In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately and irrigate with running water for at least 15 minutes, then seek medical advice. What do I do if there is a spill or leak?

Spilled product is very slippery. Contain the spill with an inert material such as sand or earth, then shovel up and remove for disposal in accordance with Local, State, or Territory government regulations.

Store Antifoam K away from oxidising agents and away from heat. Always store in the closed, original container in a well-ventilated area, as cool as possible.
