Kendon recently participated in the 13th World Potato Congress held in Adelaide in June. This prominent international event provided an exceptional platform for industry professionals to gather, exchange ideas, and explore advancements in potato cultivation.
We enjoyed connecting with a diverse range of suppliers, potato growers and industry experts. This led to some farm visits on the drive back to Ballan, Central Victoria, to explore firsthand issues and opportunities faced by growers.
Embracing Technological Advancements
In-depth technical sessions at the Congress focusing on the latest advancements in potato cultivation technology. These provided valuable insights into emerging technologies offering food for thought to boost operational efficiency and improve the quality of our products.
We also delved into various agronomic practices showcased at the event. We will be sharing what we learnt and how we are effectively addressing ongoing industry challenges.
Finally, we had the opportunity to taste Potato Juice – not the most delicious, but supposedly has benefits of neutralising the acidity of the stomach, acting as an antacid. Look for it in a health food shop near you.
Staying Informed with Industry Trends
The industry exhibition was a highlight, offering a comprehensive view of the latest products and services in the market. Engaging with exhibitors and industry professionals allowed us to stay updated on current trends and innovations, so we can remain competitive and well-informed.
