Nestled among the rolling landscapes of Victoria’s Sunbury wine region, Rose Creek Estate is a family-run vineyard where tradition, experience and hands-on vineyard care come together.
For more than 40 years, the Sisilyano family — Tony, Lina and their son Angelo — have been dedicated to producing quality fruit and wine, with a philosophy that remains simple: great wine starts with great fruit, and great fruit starts in the vineyard.
Over the years, Rose Creek Estate has built a strong reputation for quality across a diverse range of varieties, including Chardonnay, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and a selection of Italian varieties that reflect the family’s heritage. Their commitment to quality has also been recognised with bronze medals at the ANZ Boutique Wine Awards in 2023 and 2024.
An early start. An important advantage
One of the distinctive features of Rose Creek Estate is its early ripening advantage.
The estate’s grapes can reach harvest two to three weeks earlier than many other growers in the Sunbury region. For table grapes in particular, this can create an important commercial opportunity by allowing the family to access early-season markets when demand is strong.
For the Sisilyano family, achieving this early development is not simply about timing. It comes from years of experience in managing vines, nutrition and vineyard conditions from the beginning of the season.
Supporting early vine development with Kendon PFF Gold
As the vines move from bud initiation through bloom and into mid-cell division, the Rose Creek team uses Kendon PFF Gold as part of their nutrient program.
PFF Gold provides a balanced nutrient profile designed to support early vine development, helping the vines establish strong growth and supporting fruit set and early berry development.
Starting the season strongly is an important part of the estate’s approach to achieving consistent fruit development and earlier maturity.
High K — Supporting the ripening stage
As the crop progresses into ripening, the program transitions to Kendon High K.
Applied from mid-cell division through harvest, Kendon High K provides potassium alongside other nutrients to support the vine during this important stage of crop development. The program is designed to support sugar accumulation, berry firmness, fruit quality and overall vine performance as the crop approaches maturity.
Rose Creek Estate has also observed benefits that have contributed to more efficient vineyard management, adding further value to their nutrient program.
